1. This year, I met Kevin, and we started dating. We met at Town, my friend Jenn found him and his best friend, and we all started talking because we all had the same names. I'm really glad for the time I've spent with him, he's made me rethink a lot of my ideas about relationships, and break down some of my insecurities. I'm more laissez-faire with this relationship, and not as high strung.

2. I didn't get a lot of things done that I wanted to. I didn't get rid of my debt, I didn't get a new look, etc.

3. The farewell party for Abby. So, so wonderful.

4. Stopped worrying so much about what other people think, and just did what feels right.

5. Shut the fuck up and go with it.

1. I would say Stephan, the head server at the Heights and probably one of my most reliable friends these days. He makes me think about things in depth, reconsider my decisions and he's really smart and funny.

2. I don't really regret anything about 2008. Maybe I regret the way things ended with Rob a little bit, but they had to end. I guess there really is no good way to end a relationship, is there? I mean, other than NOT on a post-it.

3. Election night. Jumping up and down with my mom, hugging and crying, and listening to people honk their horns up and down Georgia Ave.

4. I started using "tranny" in my vocabulary. I consider this a bad thing.

5. Move out of DC.
