I Love Money 2: Episode 6

Ay, que frio! Heat was iced out of the competition when "Tailor Mandela's" counter-alliance backfired on the band of misfits who had been running the show from the beginning. Should the tables continue to be turned, we're going to see The Entertainer, Saaphyri, Buckwild, 20 Pack, Angelique and It be whittled down to oblivion.

Highlight of the episode: Heat and 20 Pack both getting bombed and sobbing like the front row at the Titanic premiere. In the end, Heat's tears came after his elimination, but whatever - good riddance! Get her out of here!

Now Presenting: Miguel Antonio Galán

Even though he has no shot in hell of actually winning, mayoral candidate Antonio Galán will attempt to win the prized seat in Guadalajara, but get this: he's gay. This would make him the first openly gay candidate to run for the position in Mexico, which unfortunately hurts his chances of winning. He wants to take the impoverished city a new direction, and is hoping that people will be able to put aside their homophobia and actually vote for someone who stands for chance.

“Proposals have to be made, beyond what the candidate’s (bedroom activities) are,” he said. He's got my vote! Read more!

Stripper Update

So, I'm officially on Spring Break! It feels so nice to sleep in and relax - I've forgotten what this could actually be like. Of course, I vowed to find a scholarship and get caught up on my homework this week, so I'm not entirely off the hook, but I think that things are looking good for me in the long run. Only about 8 weeks of school left before I'm done with this semester - and then one summer session. People keep reminding me about how my degree is pretty much useless in the professional world, but I disagree- call me naïve - I'm not entirely convinced.

You see, people can get degrees in almost anything they choose, but they still don't get great jobs. And in the midst of an economic recession, those chances are even lower. I think that as long as I am determined, as long as I don't take myself too seriously, and as long as I'm true to what I WANT rather than what other people think I should want, then I'll be fine. After all, getting a BA was only a goal, not an end to a means of living. I have many more goals ahead of me that I can achieve without needing to depend on my degree, without needing to settle down and become the person I will have to be for the rest of my life.

And I'm very happy about that. Read more!

Cuidad Juarez - War Zone

For those of you who don't know, Cuidad Juarez, the town that shares the US/Mexican border with El Paso, Texas, is in the midst of a horrific drug war. Mexican President Felipe Calderón has most recently intervened with military force in an attempt to regain control of the city before it slips entirely into the hands of drug lords. Below is an excellent video putting the pieces together for you in about 4 minutes. Its definitely worth the watch.

Daisy of Love Cast Reveal: Round 1

So, the "Daisy of Love" cast is finally being revealed on Vh1, and let me just say - if there ever were a need for the word "debacle," that time is NOW. The boys competing for the former "Rock of Love" contestant's heart make the "I Love New York" guys look like the checkout line at Banana Republic. I'll reveal them all over the course of the week. One of them, if you follow Celeb-Reality, should look awfully familiar to you already...
